"Halfmoon -- Rachel Hatlee DeVoe, 98, a former Woodin Road resident, died on Monday, November 1, 2004 at the Eddy-Ford Nursing Home in Cohoes after a long illness. She was born on March 5, 1906 and was the daughter of the late George and Blanche Tymerson Hatlee. She was educated in the Guideboard School in Halfmoon and the Waterford High School. Mrs. DeVoe and her husband had been poultry farmers in Halfmoon for many years. She was the wife of the late Harold W. DeVoe, who died on October 6, 1977. She was a founding member of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women and was a former member of the Celia MacIntyre Circle at the church. Mrs. DeVoe was a member of the Star of Liberty Chapter #379, Order of the Eastern Star in Mechanicville and she was a member of the Shenendehowa Senior Citizens. She was the mother of Mrs. Armand (Marlene) Marion of Halfmoon; sister of the late Parker, Crayford, George and Irving Hatlee, Margaret DeVoe, Lois Butler, Blanche Hatlee and Isabelle Drummond.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her devoted friends, Patricia Flavin and Mary Keefe. Funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. from Shenendehowa United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Marino, Pastor, officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie ..."
