Ed married Wanda Merlin Swearingen Tackett on July 26, 1956 n the Chapel of the Roses on N. Texas street in Odessa, Ector County, Texas.
He loved to hunt, fish, play bingo, play dominoes, go to Las Vegas and to browse in old junk places.
He knew each of his siblings, their children and their children by name and sight and visited them often.
He had a photographic memory and loved to take objects apart and put them back together. His word was his bond and a handshake a deal. He would have been in his element as a mountain man or explorer in days of old.

He had common sense and a fair sense of play. He always said most people were "book smart and common sense dumb" If he was your friend it meant he'd be there for you and was.
He liked to go with Wanda to cemeteries to look for ancestors or for the heck of it. He took her once to a Polish cemetery in Wilson County, Texas where all of the inscriptions were in Polish.......=)
Ed always enjoyed dealing and handling livestock and horse, hogs, sheep, if it ate, could get out, or had to be tended to he brought it home. He loved to hunt Raccoons on the rivers with his Walker Hounds.
We went often to Las Vegas where he loved to play Blackjack. He had a sense of humor that was mischievous and usually taught a lesson about life.
