Oneida, Oct. 18 -
Charles McShane, 87, retired New York Central Railroad employee, died suddenly yesterday at the home of Miss Kate Sullivan, S. Warner St., where he roomed and boarded.
Born in Ireland, May 16, 1856, son of Dennis and Rose McShane, he came to this country when a young man. He had resided in Oneida most of his life. His wife died 35 years ago.
Surviving are eight children: James, Patrick and Charles McShane, Mrs. Rose Kagel, Mrs. Mary Terrell and Mrs. Kate Parker, all of Syracuse and Miss Sarah McShane and Mrs. Margaret Boley, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and several grandchildren.
