Butlerville Letter
E. C. Myers, a well known citizen of this place, committed suicide yesterday morning by shooting himself in the left temple with a 44 calibre revolver, the ball passing through his head and coming out at the opposite temple, producing instant [death]. His friends think the cause of the rash act was financial losses which he had sustained lately. He is a young man not quite 21 years of age, but has been engaged in the stock business for some time, and as he has usually been very succesful in his speculations, his friends can not account for so sudden a turn in his affairs. He was the only child of James W. Myers, of this place, and his parents are almost heartbroken. They have the sympathy of the entire community, and yet words seem inadequate to give any comfort or consolation in so sad a bereavement,
