She died at Allen Memorial Hospital at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
She was born Dec. 2, 1902, at Huntsville, Mo., daughter of William and Callie Powell Doughty. She married Oliver Newkirk. She later married Rober L. Hunt on Dec. 21, 1943, in Kansas City, Kan.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, Bill Newkirk of San Bernardino, Calif., John Newkirk of San Harmonica, Calif., Herbert Newkirk of Tacoma, Wash., and Joe Lloyd Hunt of Orlando, Fla.; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Ella Cotter of Tustin, Calif., Mrs. DeEtta Lisby and Mrs. Donna Waltz, both of Waterloo, Mrs. Ellen Lanzing of Glendora, Calif., Mrs. Georgia Hortenstine of Topeka, Kan., Mrs. Leola Sue Eason of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Virginia Hunt Carpenter of Cedar Falls; 36 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren."
