Anita Marie née Vitali Vovk, age 89, of Golden Valley, formerly of Aurora MN, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

She was born September 8, 1933, in Chisholm MN, to Joseph and Anna (Galinati) Vitali.

She was a 1951 graduate of Chisholm High School. She was united in marriage on September 6, 1952 to Frank Vovk Sr. and together they raised six children. She loved her very large family dearly, including those in Italy and Slovenia. She loved to share music and laughter with her friends and family.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; children Kathy Vansickle of Brainerd, Frank (Mary) Vovk of Hopkins, Mary (Tom) Rauenhorst of Crystal, Robert (Lori) Vovk of Coon Rapids, Therese (John) Mickelson of Minnetonka, Lisa Ochsendorf of Hugo; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna; brothers and sisters, Righetta Pagliacetti, Alexander Vitali, Dominica (Kotonias) Vercellino, Attilia Maturi, Mary Bachnik, Catherine Chiodi, Zelinda Hendrickson, Elvira Hooper, Rudolph Vitali, Julio Vitali, and Josephine Carpenter.
