Ms. VIOLET VIRGINIA (SAUNDERS) CESSNA was the daughter of Henry "Frank" Franklin Saunders and Mrs. Sadie Alverta (Waunker Hughes) Saunders.

Obituary
"Funeral services for Violet Virginia Cessna, 93, of Karnack Road, Marshall, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Snyder Funeral Chapel in Irwin, Pennsylvania. Burial will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, in North Huntington Township, Pennsylvania. Local arrangements are by The Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors.

Ms. Cessna died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 1989, at Marshall Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born February 14, 1896 in Redhouse, Maryland, a daughter of Frank Saunders and Sadie Waunker Saunders. She attended public schools in Lona Coopey, Maryland. She was a production worker at Carnegie Steel Corporation, in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, until she retired, and she had previously worked at Westinghouse Electric Manufacturing Company in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include one son, Richard William Mincer Jr., of Marshall, Texas; one granddaughter, Darlene George, of Irwin, Pennsylvania; two great-grandchildren; five stepsons, Ed Cessna, of Sacramento, California, Ray Cessna, of Jamestown, New York, William Cessna, Russell Cessna and David Cessna, all of Kokomo, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Pat Martin and Robert Lawson, both of Kokomo, Indiana; and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl Saunders, of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Jessie Kelly, of North Huntington Township, Pennsylvania, Irene Stewart, of Calabash, North Carolina, and Lillie Waggoner, of Franklin, Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces and nephews."
