MRS. GRACIA (NADEAU) PICARD, 82, of 9 Linden Street, died on Sunday in Holyoke Hospital following a long illness. She was the wife of Albert Picard. She was born in Standon, Canada, daughter of the late William and Marie (Roberge) Nadeau, and was educated in the Canadian schools. Mrs. Picard had been a school teacher for many years in the Standon schools. She was a resident of this city since 1923 and had been employed by the former Skinner Silk Mills, prior to her retirement in 1950.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. John (Lucille) Lavelle of Holyoke; a sister, Mrs. Leone Thiboutot of Canada; a grandson, James Lavelle of Holyoke; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning from the Messier-Farrell Funeral Home, Chestnut Street, followed by the Liturgy of Christian. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. Entering from the south entrance from Lyman St, take the first left. As the road curves right look for the large Lefevbre monument. the Picard stone is just beyond and behind it.
