Died Saturday evening, February 17, 2001. Mrs. Deneau was born February 15, 1918 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a daughter of Richard and Harriet (Mennenga) Brondyke. She was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident, and was employed with the James River Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1980.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Deneau Sr. on August 25, 1983; her son, Dennis Deneau in 1998; 3 brothers, Ted, Jake, and Henry Brondyke; and 2 sisters, Christine Branch and Mayme Brondyke. She is survived by 2 grandchildren, Erin and Stefanie Deneau; a daughter-in-law, Ralene Deneau of Kalamazoo; 3 sisters, Frances Brabon and Harriet Baumstark, both of Portage, and Dee Radike of Lansing; 2 sistersinlaw, Henrietta Sopjes of Kalamazoo, and Helen Brondyke of Galesburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
