Michael R. Carter (Mike) 67, passed away on August 20, 2023, at the Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford Utah. He was born on August 9, 1956, in American Fork, Utah to Edward Ray and Betty Louise Robbins Carter.
Mike was the oldest of 7 kids. He married Camille Lamb on June 15, 2002, in Milford, Utah. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 39 Years as an engineer. He retired from the railroad in 2016. Mike loved to be involved in his community. While living in Milford Mike was a part of the United Way, Festival of Trees, Old Timers, where he served as the UPEC President and the BLE Griever. Mike earned his Eagle Scout. He loved to read, and he especially liked to watch the rodeo.
Mike loved his family and was so proud of his kids and grandkids. He would travel around so he could watch and support them in any sport or activity they were involved in. Mike's favorite place to be was in the mountains whether it be hunting, fishing, camping with his family, or just going for a ride. Mike loved to tease all the neighborhood kids he was known as the neighborhood tease.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Ray and daughter Cheyanna Sibley. He is survived by his wife Camille Carter, his mother Betty Carter, his 4 brothers Bart (Kelli) Carter, Greg (Carrie) Carter, Roger (Stephanie) Carter, and Dallan (Deborah) Carter, and his 2 sisters Raylene (Jeff) Long, and Sheralyn (Todd) Hopkinson. His sons Cory (Staci) Carter, Kevin (Sarah) Sibley, and daughter Chalys (Lance) Alger. He is also survived by his 8 grandkids and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Southern Utah Mortuary (209 S 100 W) in Milford, Utah. Funeral services and interment will follow at Milford City Cemetery. www.mortuary.org
