At the age of 19, while being employed as an airline stewardess, Eva defected from Communist Poland to Spain, the birthplace of her father. On December 26, 1966, Eva married Larry Long and moved to Indiana. In 1978 Eva trusted in Jesus Christ as her personal savior. On July 10, 1998, Eva became an American citizen. Eva loved America and the American people.
Eva never knew a stranger, she was friendly, loving and gracious to all who came into her presence. Her favorite employment was the 10 year she spent translating at Elkhart General Hospital. Eva was fluent in the English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and Polish languages, laughing and joking in all of them.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Sugar Grove Cemetery, 58512 Old County Rd 17, Goshen. Joshua Moore will officiate.
