"Henry P. Karnes, sixty-six years old, died at 8:45 this morning at the family home, 1017 North Twentieth street. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, the Misses Marie and Martha Karnes. Also surviving are brothers and sisters as follows: John C., James G., and Joseph N. Karnes of St Joseph; Mrs. Clara E. Bethel of Wathena, Kan.; Mrs. F. M. Gaines of Avenue City, Mo.; and the Misses Matilda, Sally and Katie Karnes of this county. The dead man was a prominent fruit grower of this county, where he had lived twenty years."
