Clifford Alvin White, 65, died at Langmach Hospital Friday of congestion heart failure. He lived at Rt. 2, Box 290, Sweet Home.

He was born June 27, 1896 in Maple Grove, Barron County, Wisconsin to parents Alvin and Mary (Millard) White. On May 24, 1920 he married Henrietta Virginia Mitts in Vancouver, Washington. Mr. White was a World War I Veteran in the US Army from May 5, 1918 to February 6, 1919. He had been a resident of the community for seven years, moving here from Lebanon. Mr. White was a retired painter.

Surviving are his widow, Henrietta; son, Lawrence of Sweet Home; and a daughter, Freya of Sweet Home; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Dissmore and Mrs. Olive Fletcher, both of Entiat, Washington, Mrs. Emma Blackburn of Wenatchee, Washington, and Mrs. Eva Mitts of Gerber, California; and a brother, Frank White of Lebanon.

Services will be Monday at Tracewell Funeral Home at 1:30 P.M. Officiating will be John Sterling and Don Brist. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Lebanon.
