SODA SPRINGS - Ramona Hayes Weighall, 75, of Soda Springs, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2004, at the Caribou Memorial Hospital. Ramona was born November 3, 1928, in Georgetown, Idaho, the daughter of Horace Alma and Mary Naomi Haddock Hayes. She was educated in Georgetown, graduating in 1947.

She married Hyrum Weighall on June 6, 1947, at Georgetown. They lived in Fairfield, Hansen, Georgetown and Soda Springs. While living in Soda Springs, Ramona worked at Lallatin Foodtown, First Bank & Trust, Brent Maughan Real Estate and Farmers Insurance before retiring in 1997. She was a member of the 4th Soda Springs Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the primary for many years as secretary of the Young Womens in Fairfield.

Ramona was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to visit family and friends, give service, camp with Hyrum at Slug Creek, ride their Gold Wing motorcycle, square dance, crochet afghans and tend her flower beds. She enjoyed walking with her poodle, Kappy.

Ramona is survived by her husband, Hyrum, of Soda Springs; two sons, Steven and Annette Weighall of Chubbuck, Idaho, and Bruce Weighall of Afton, Wyo.; two daughters, Edith and David Lillywhite of Smithfield, Utah, and Lana Myers of Chubbuck; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Rex and Bonnie Hayes of Soda Springs; and a sister, Janiece and Carroll Hildreth of Soda Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leonard Erwin Weighall; a son-in-law, Robert Myers; a granddaughter, Duanna Howard Brown; three brothers, Roy, Joseph and Loren; and three sisters, Ann Barkdull, Alice Hansen and Blanche Smith.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at at the Hooper LDS Chapel with Bishop Robert Geddes conducting. Friends may call on Sims Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Ward Chapel from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.

Services are under the direction of Sims Funeral Home.
