Evelyn Marie Strasser, 87 of Lucerne, IN, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 in Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

Born on May 2, 1936,in Cass County, IN, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn "Bill" and Hazel (Cheney) Caudle.

On March 18, 1959, she was married to Carl A. Strasser. Her preceded her in death on December 26, 2002.

Evelyn was a graduate of Burnettsville High School,

Evelyn retired from the Logansport Memorial Hospital after working in the physical therapy department for 42 years. She had previously worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital on 26th Street.

An avid reader, Evelyn also enjoyed quilting. She loved being outdoors and took great pride in her garden, the beautiful flowers she raised and her fishpond.

She is survived by her fiancé, Hugh Selleck; three sisters; three sister-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by four brothers - Kenneth, Richard, Roger and Bobby Caudle.

Visitation hours will be from noon until the time of the 2 PM funeral on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in Fisher Funeral Chapel in Logansport. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery in Burnettsville, IN.
