Ordained a Minister of the United Brethren church in Hummelstown, Pa February 9, 1850. Moved to Sailor, Michigan abt 1868, then to just outside Elkhart city limits in 1893. Survived by his wife, who was born Priscilla Hoffnagle, who he married on November 8, 1849 in Harrisburg, Pa., and the following children: Mrs. William Hackman of Elkhart; Uriah Luse of Sailor, Michigan; and J.W. Luse of Chicago. He is survived by one brother, Dennis Luse of Pennsylvania.
