The poor little McEntee girl, so brutally treated by her father last fall, died last night at the home of her mother, corner L and 9th streets, and was buried from the Catholic church at 4 this afternoon. The father, who owns a fine farm, 16 miles north of the city, became enraged at the child because she had emptied a pan of ashes against a tree in the yard, and kicked her in the abdomen, making a hole in her intestines, which never healed and resulted in her death after months of suffering. His wife left him and brought the two children to town and commenced suit for divorce.
