In Loving Memory of Clyde Nordin

Clyde Nordin, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather, departed from this world Sunday morning, September 10, 2023, in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, surrounded by the beauty of the hill country.

Clyde was a man who embraced life's simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, golfing, and dancing, but his favorite pastime was gathering with friends at the senior center, where he reveled in lively games of dominoes. In his final year, he picked up the harmonica, adding another layer of music to his rich life. Clyde's true happiness lay in the moments when his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren visited, their love serving as a testament to the warmth of his heart.

Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Nordin, on January 25, 2008. He now joins her in eternal rest. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Surviving Clyde are his sons, Gerald W. Nordin and wife, Mary Nordin of Canyon Lake, Texas, Bobby Nordin and wife, Mimi Nordin of Clayton, Georgia and daughter, Janette Moers and husband, George Moers of Horseshoe Bay, Texas. His sister, Mildred Love, and her husband, Albert Love of Cibola, Texas, also grieve his passing. Clyde is survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation with the family will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on September 15, 2023. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Clyde Nordin's life on September 15th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Funeral Home chapel, where Michael Barnes will be officiating. Following the service, Clyde will be entombed at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Honoring his memory as pallbearers are Gregory Nordin, Christopher Nordin, Nathan Jones, Derek Hunt, Joshua Nordin, and Butch Dickey. Darren Nordin is recognized as an honorary pallbearer.

For those wishing to pay their respects and support Clyde's community spirit. Donations in the form of memorials may be made to the Lions Club, Department 4547, Carol Stream, IL 60122, an organization that Clyde held dear.

In Clyde's memory, let us remember the twinkle in his eye, the laughter in his heart, and the love he shared with all who knew him. He will forever be missed but never forgotten.
