The second wife of Benjamin Cassel, m. December 7, 1859, Edgar County, Illinois. It appears Benjamin had at least two children prior to their marriage, William, age 3 and Malvina, age 1.

The 1880 Federal census states both of her parents were born in Tennessee.

Her death notice states her husband, a civil war veteran, had died several years before her. She was reported to have been active in the Woman's Relief Corps. A few years prior to her death she is reported to have moved to Kansas to live with her daughter.
