Rebecca "Becky" Kegley
March 13, 1938 - September 19, 2023

Rebecca "Becky" Kegley, age 85, of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 at Care Partners Solace Center.

A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Edna "Nell" Ball Hughes.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kegley; sisters: Ruth Kegley and Deb Barnett, and brothers: Bill, James, Bobby, CD and JR Hughes.

Becky enjoyed watching TV, especially Blue Bloods, Walker, Texas Ranger, The Heat of the Night, and the news, as well as watching tennis and the Baltimore Orioles play. She will be truly missed for her delicious biscuits and lasagna.

Surviving are her sons: Dan Kegley and Douglas Kegley (Becky), all of Burnsville; sister, Mary Martha Blevins of Burnsville; brother, Russell Hughes (Margaret) of Burnsville, and special friend, John "Black Jack" Grindstaff of Burnsville. Her beloved Cheagle dog, Jenny, one niece, several nephews, and many friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 29th in Youngs Chapel Cemetery.
