Luanne attended schools at Stennett in rural Red Oak, and Abraham Lincoln in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before graduating in 1974 from Red Oak High School. On September 8, 1974, Luanne was united in marriage to Rick Nease in Red Oak, Iowa. She dedicated 22 years of service to Eveready Battery Company until its closure and then attended Iowa Western Community College, Council Bluffs, for graphic design. She later worked with the Red Oak School System in the dietary department and finally, with Arlington Place of Red Oak. Luanne enjoyed painting, drawing, completing jigsaw puzzles, fishing and her favorite, spending time with her grandsons.
Luanne was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Johnson; brothers: Michael Chapman, Andrew C. Chapman, and William Chapman; and stepmother, Mary Chapman.
Luanne is survived by her husband, Rick Nease of Red Oak, IA; daughters: Amy Nease and Holly (Jeremy) Anderson both of Red Oak, IA; two grandsons: Brady and Sammy Anderson; brothers: Warren (Donna) Chapman of Council Bluffs, IA and Kenneth Chapman of Shenandoah, IA; sister, Mary (Richard) Lanning of Wymore, NE; step-brother, James Chapman of Davenport, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak, Iowa.
Luanne's Memorial Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
