Daughter of Glenn Sr. & Fern (Bliss) Coon.

Married Wilber Gleason. He preceded her in death.
Farmed near Heartwell, Neb.; moved to Minden, worked as an educator; attended Kearney State College and the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, earning a master's degree in education.

After retirement, enjoyed an active life with friends and family in Minden; moved to Fairview Village of Downers Grove, 1994, enjoyed travel, bridge and service as a volunteer.

Married Edward Maxwell in Downers Grove. He preceded her in death.

Activities: was formerly an active member of the Methodist church in Minden; was a lifelong and very active Methodist.

Survivors include her sons John of Tully, N.Y., and Joseph of Peoria, Ariz.,; sister, Midge Bucholtz of Casper, Wyo.; three grandchildren; stepsons, David Maxwell of Denver and James Maxwell of Green Bay, Wis.; and seven stepgrandchildren; also daughters-in-law, Carol of Tully and Catherine of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews
Was preceded in death by her husbands; daughter, Kathryn; brothers, Robert and Glenn; and sister, Margaret.
