She was born October 12, 1951, in Rochester, New York and was a longtime resident of Rhode Island.
A National Merit Scholar, she graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in Science Education in 1973 and from University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Pharmacy with high distinction in 1978.
She was a pharmacist at Baker's Pharmacy in Jamestown until her retirement in 2007. She cherished the local community and loved helping people.
She was a devoted mother working part-time hours, planning family trips, and co-leading her daughter's Girl Scout troop with her dear friend, Elsie Foy.
Lexie was baptized later in life at Wakefield Baptist Church. She loved her church community dearly and found great joy singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed travelling and spending quality time with the many people she loved.
She is survived by her son Mark Allbee, daughter Jean Roberson and her husband Michael, sister Sue Steffenhagen, sister Barbara Lehning and her husband Chuck, cousin John Guidetti who she loved like a brother, niece Jeanene Steffenhagen, and nephew Gary Steffenhagen, his wife Danielle and their two children Alex and Olivia.
A visitation was hekd on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI 02879. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St, South Kingstown, RI 02879. A reception was held the following week on Sunday morning, October 15, 2023, in Wakefield Baptist Church for everyone who wishes to attend.
