Mr. Moore was born Aug. 25, 1906, in Altoona, Kan., to William and Matilda (McCoy) Moore. He married Nina L. Huss on Dec. 25, 1930, at St. Andrew's Church in Farm Ridge. She died Aug. 31, 1989.
He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II.
He was a lifetime member of the Ottawa VFW Post.
He is survived by a daughter, Norma Gianoli of Peoria; four grandsons, Jay (Kathy) Eyster of Peoria, Jerry (Deborah) Eyster of Peoria, Jim (Rhonda) Eyster of Gilbert, Ariz., and Jeff (Barb Powers) Eyster of Rochelle; seven great-grandchildren, Tracy (Christopher) Moore of Peoria, Jessica, Chas and Brittany Eyster of Peoria, Kyle, Ryan and Rachel Eyster of Gilbert, Ariz.; and a great-great-grandson, Blake Sullivan of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother, Boyde Moore; a half-brother, Raymond Moore; and a half sister, Helen Siebert.
Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park, with full military rites.
