Maida Roberta Meade Hawkins, age 90, of Bristol, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
She was born on September 17, 1933, in Russell County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Stuart and Lilly Farmer Meade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Flem W. Hawkins and several siblings.
Survivors include her son, Larry Hawkins and wife Tammy; daughter, Lorre and husband Charles Ray Akers; grandchildren, Toby Hawkins and wife Victoria and Jennifer Quesenberry and husband Patrick; five great grandchildren; brother, Marshal Meade; sister, Shirley Meade Chafin; and a special canine companion, Pepper.
Services will be private.
