I'm pretty sure I could feel some inscription at the top of this tombstone, where a first name would be. However, the photos I took make it look as though there is no inscription there. I do wish now I'd taken the time to lay some aluminum foil across it, and make an impression of it.
Still wondering who Son Norris is, I looked on the 1880 census for Blossom Prairie, Lamar County, Texas, and found who I thought to be Son Norris' father, along with some children that just happen to be linked to his mother here on Find A Grave (Alma, being one of the children). But apparently, this little boy had already passed away when the census was taken (June 4, 1880). And this is all ASSUMING I was looking at the right father/family.
