Mr. DOUGLAS began work at Quaker Oats in 1914 after graduation from Princeton University. His father, James Henderson Douglas, was a top executive with the firm and Mr. DOUGLAS followed in his footsteps.
Mr. DOUGLAS stepped down as vice president in charge of advertising for Quaker Oats in 1952 and retired as a director in 1957 just before his 65th birthday.
AFTER THAT he was associated in an investment business with a son, William C. Douglas. He also served as treasurer of the Infant Welfare Society and was a trustee of the Presbyterian Home in Evanston.
Mr. DOUGLAS is survived by his wife, Martha; another son, Dr. Donald B. Jr.; a brother, James H Douglas, Jr.; and three grandchildren.
