Dalal "Dee" (nee Kateeb) Doyle
Dee Doyle passed away peacefully, at the age of 80, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at St. Joseph Medical Center, with the love of her family by her side. Dee was born on March 16, 1943, the daughter of the late Albert and Iva (nee Elliot) Kateeb. She was raised on the South Side of Chicago, graduating from Kelly High School in 1961. Dee worked for 33 years at Bakers Square in Joliet as a hostess and server. Many of her customers became lifelong friends.
Dee met the love of her life, Dennis Doyle, on a blind date when he was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base; they married in May of 1965. She enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, spending time with her family, watching the Chicago Bears and Black Hawks, and The Voice. She was always kind, supportive, and funny to everyone she knew. Dee had a special bond with her grandsons, they were her entire world! She always placed her family first, before all other responsibilities. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Dennis C. Doyle; her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
