MRS. ANNIE MIKSAN LAID TO REST
Mrs. Annie Miksan, age 81, passed away at her home in the Pleasant Grove community at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 1954.
She was born on March 10, 1872 in Cermna, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Coufal, and came to the United States with her parents when she was nine years old.
In 1898, she was married to Frank Miksan who passed away in 1901, three years after their marriage. She lived most of her life in Washington County Texas and spent her recent years in the Wilderville and Pleasant Grove communties.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 15 at 2 p.m. at Green's funeral home with Rev. R. L. Brown, pastor of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiating. Bural was in the Woodland Cemetery with Green in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frances Moore of Port Lavaca Tx; two brothers Joe and Frank Coufal, both of Rosebud Tx; one sister, Mrs. Theresa Raska of Burton Tx, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
