Mrs. Tessie Carpenter Beck, 91, of Jefferson Community, died of heart failure Monday, January 1 5, 1998, at her residence.
Mrs. Beck was the widow of Coleman Beck and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, at Liberty Baptist Church in the Jefferson Community with the Rev. Norris Corley and the Rev. Johnny Gray officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Beck is survived by two daughters, Polly Montgomery of Black Hawk, Peggy Holloway of Grenada; three sons, Jimmy Dell Beck, J.W. Beck, and Charles Beck, all of Grenada; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Garner-Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
