Dwight Matthews, 56, a well known resident of Roe Park, died Saturday evening in the Peekskill Hospital after a short Illness. Death was caused by a cerebral thrombosis.

He was born in Verplanck on May 22, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Matthews. In recent years Mr. Matthews had been working at carpentry work and doing handy work in the Summer bungalow areas.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Turner Matthews of Roe Park; one sister, Emma Kreupa of Jensen Beach, Florida; his father, stepmother and two stepchildren.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17, at 2 P. M. at the Bartle Funeral Heme, Main Street. Interment will be made in Hillside Cemetery.
