Sandra Myers Eighmie passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023, at Little Falls Hospital.

She was born on April 4, 1948, in Watertown, NY. Sandra is survived by her daughter Cynthia Rogers of Ravena, her daughter-in-law Nancy Eighmie of Stamford, her granddaughters: Brittany (Jeremy) Pickett of Worcester and Kaitlyn (Cody Schaefer) of Liverpool. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Josephine Pickett; as well as her In-Laws: Ted (Dora) Eighmie of Scotia and Susan Myers of Clifton Park; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents: C.H Myers and Jean (Wertman) Myers; her husband of 46 years: George B. Eighmie; her son: Scott W. Eighmie; and her brother: Steven M. Myers; as well as by her half-brother: C.H. Myers Jr.; and her half-sister: Margaret Cordone.

Sandy was a graduate of the 1966 class of Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie. She worked for NYS Dept. of Transportation in Poughkeepsie as a Cartographer, where she met Surveyor, George B. Eighmie. They married on September 27th, 1970 and relocated to Hobart NY. A few years later they would establish their homestead on a quiet hill in Harpersfield, NY.

Sandy was multifaceted woman. She was an EMT-B with the Stamford Rescue Squad and Fire Department for many years. She taught CPR at Stamford Central during the years she worked for the American Red Cross. She could be found greeting patients at Dr. Del Rosario's Office on West Main Street in Stamford, NY. Sandy was also an active and dedicated parishioner at Sacred Heart Church of Stamford. Sandy was eager to help others and willing to share a smile with everyone. She had a big heart and a love of Family, God and being part of the Stamford Community. Sandy will be dearly missed by the many lives she touched.

A mass celebrating Sandy's life will be held at 12:30PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Church, Stamford followed by interment in Stamford Cemetery.
