Carrie died peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on February 23, 1937 in Fayette, MS and came to Seattle with her husband and small son in 1959. It was here that she developed her love of God and shared what she learned with her neighbors, friends and family. She was active in her faith as a Jehovah's Witness up until her illness and subsequent death. Through the years Carrie held several jobs before retiring from her position with the Government. She will be remembered for her sweet and kind disposition, her infectious smile, and her famous "Killer-Diller" fried chicken.

Carrie leaves behind her son, John Parker (Lois), her grandchildren Autumn Parker (Toney), and Anteus Parker (Bridgit), and four lovely great-grandchildren. She's survived by her sisters Andrea Gray, Theresa Gray, Christine Anderson, and Pearle Anderson, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
