Mr. James Willard Vail, 75 of Hamburg, AR died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his daughters residence in Johnsville, AR. He was a native of Columbus, MS, but a Hamburg resident, a retired barber and boilermaker, and a Baptist. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Mary Vail Taylor, one grandson, Christopher Gray, his parents, Ed & Ronnie Jeffcoat Vail, three brothers, Leroy, McNarse & Arnold Vail, and one sister, Corrine Vail Roberts.
He is survived by two sons, James W. Vail, Jr., wife Debra of Little Rock, AR & Roy Vail of Crossett, AR, two daughters, Debbie Ross of Crossett, AR & Billie Jean Rice, husband Ronnie of Johnsville, AR, three brothers: Pete Vail of Bastrop, LA, Ed Vail, Jr. of Crossett, AR & Lane Vail of Monroe, LA, one sister, Imogene Adcock of Hamburg, AR, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services are Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Parkdale Cemetery with Bro. Waymon Mann, officiating. Visitation Thursday, April 17 from 6-8 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the American Legion in Bastrop, LA
