Katherine "Katie" Murphy was born on Jan 6, 1866 in Ballyduff, Kerry, Ireland. Her parents were John Murphy & Mary Greany. She married Dennis (Denis) Sullivan on Apr 11, 1891. They had four children; Mary Katherine, John Dennis, Julie Veronica "Lu" & Michael Joseph. Katie died FEB 14th, 1917 in Chicago ILL aged 51.
Katie's siblings were John B Murphy, Mary Ann "Mollie" Murphy-Sullivan. Martin Murphy, Margaret Murphy-Flaherty, Bridget "Biddie" Murphy-Boyle, Patrick Joseph Murphy, Elizabeth "Bess" Murphy-O'Conner & Thomas J Murphy.

Katie is buried with her husband, dau and grandson

Mr. & Mrs. Wm. O'Connor of Nevada Township returned from Chicago a few days ago to attend the funeral of Mrs. O'Connor's Sister, Mrs. Dennis Delaney. The procession was two miles long. It took 140 seven-passenger autos to carry to the cemetery the relatives and friends of the deceased. Mr. Delaney is one of the head officials of the Pennsylvania railway system. Mrs. Martin Flaherty of Nevada township is also a sister of Mrs. Delaney. Mr. O'Connor reports that there is no snow in Chicago.
