According to the 2 Dec 1948 edition of the "Iron River Reporter,"Placido Laurent was convicted of murdering Frank by stabbing. On Oct. 4, the paper reported that Frank was stabbed during an argument. Cemetery records say that he was wounded in the abdomen.
