William Durno (b. abt. 1834), a Private in Company F, 45th Illinois Infantry, was mortally wounded on the first day at the Battle of Shiloh and died the next day. His brother PVT Edwin Durno (b. 1843-d. 1931), was in Company D, 46th Iowa Infantry. His other brother CPL George L. Duno (b. 1838-d. 1920) in Company C, 12 Iowa Infantry. Another brother Edwin (b. 1843-d. 1931) was a Private in Company D, 46th Iowa Infantry.
