Daughter of Jesse James and Katherine (Huntsinger) Bell. Married 3 times. First to Tilley Gilbert Densmore about 1860 in Kansas. Had 5 children with Densmore and the family resided in Richmond, Ray, Missouri. After Densmore's death, Anna and children relocated to California.
Second marriage about 1878 to Manius Buchanan. Ended in Divorce. Thought to have had one daughter, Anna B. Buchanan born in 1880. The family resided for a time in state of Washington.
Third marriage to Alexander Petit in 1889 in Los Angeles. Petit first married to Anna's sister, Barbara who died in 1883. Alexander Petit died in 1915.
Anna helped raise son's (Gilbert Densmore) children after his divorce from Jessie White.

Anna's son, Victor Densmore also buried in Live Oak Cemetery, Monrovia.
