"The cemetery I checked today is Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery at the corner of Shoulders Hill Rd (facing) & Nansemond Parkway. The current adjacent church is Zion Community Church of Northern Suffolk."

"many of the graves are illegible- they are some sort of casket-shaped concrete with impressed letters, & there are quite a few gravestones in the woods. I didn't go into the particularly swampy ones."

"I am still sure he has to be there. I suppose you could call the church & ask? From the poor condition of the graveyard, I am guessing they "inherited" it & there is no money to keep it up. Many of the stones are broken &/or half buried.
