"MERIDEN - Josephine A. Fronczek Abbott, 83, wife of the late Waldo W. Abbott, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at the Coccomo Health Center in Meriden. Born in Cohoes, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helena Zupia Fronczek. She attended Cohoes schools. Mrs. Abbott was a homemaker in Meriden where she resided for the past 56 years. She is survived by a daughter, Alida Jane Mason of Security, Colo.; a son, Edward P. Abbott of Meriden;, a sister, Anna Krupski of Waterford, N.Y.; a brother, Ignatuis Fronczek of Middletown; and a stepbrother, John Dross of Waterford, N.Y.. She is predeceased by a grandson, Edward Abbott; and by four brothers, Edward, Paul, John and Benjamin Fronczek. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be from the Thomas S. Connolly Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, N.Y., on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John McCauley, pastor of the Third Presbyterian Church, Troy, N.Y., officiating. Burial will follow in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie, N.Y. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home preceding the funeral service from 10 to 11 a.m. Contributions to a charity of one's choice in memory of Mrs. Abbott would be appreciated." "Miss Josephine Fronczek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fronczek of 28 Mangam Street, Cohoes, was married yesterday at 3 p.m. in St. Michael's church to Waldo Abbott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Abbott of Poestenkill. Rev. Valentine Gierlacki, pastor, performed the ceremony. The bride was dressed in a gown of pale rose lace with a picture hat of rose. Her bridal bouquet was of pink roses. Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, who was Miss Fronczek's matron of honor, wore a dress of blue sheer with white picture hat. the matron of honor also carried roses. A brother of the bride, Edward Fronczek, acted as best man. Following the church ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Receiving with the bridal couple were the parents of the bride and bridegroom. During the reception a program of musical selections was presented by the guests. With Mrs. Abbott wearing a traveling ensemble of powder blue with white accessories, the couple left for a wedding trip to Newark, N. J. Upon their return the Abbotts will live in Poestenkill."
