German actor and voice over artist.Actor. He was a prominent actor in television, film, theater and voice-over work. He studied acting at the Fritz Kirchoff drama school in Berlin and after graduating, went into performing in the theater. After awhile Mannkopff turned to television and films, gaining many roles in various works. He was considered one of the busiest German film and television actors in the 1970s and 1980s. Mannkopff starred in such television series and films as "Die Wicherts von nebenan" (1986), "Otto - Der Film" (1985) and "Jack the Ripper" (1976). He was also the German dubbing voice of Garfield in "Here Comes Garfield" and "Garfield: The Movie" and was the German dubbing voices for actors John Candy and Benny Hill. Mannkopff was still acting until his passing.
