She was born July 25, 1947 in Nederland, Texas to Ella Mae Sonnier Ortego and Nellard Joseph Ortego.

A gathering of Mrs. Blanchard's family and friends will begin at 12 nnoon with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 2pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive in Winnie, Texas.

Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie, Texas.
