Vacaville-Elmira CemeteryObituary for Alan Ret
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alan Ret, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Alan left us peacefully at the age of 58 on December 8, 2023.

Alan was born on August 23, 1965, in Manila, Philippines, to Antonio and Adoracion Ret. He grew up in a nurturing environment surrounded by a brother and three sisters, instilling in him the values of family and community. Alan's pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Phoenix, where he earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration.

Alan's commitment to service was evident through his 10 years in the US Navy, followed by a 12-year tenure as a US Postal Office Employee.
He found love and companionship in Maria, whom he married on October 15, 1990. Their union was blessed with a son, Alain, who followed in his father's footsteps of service by becoming a physician.

An avid golfer, Alan was also an active member of the Couples for Christ Catholic. His kindness, expertise in research, and delightful sense of humor touched many lives. Alan was a gifted storyteller and a bit of a jokester, always ready to lighten the hearts of those around him.

Alan's loving memory is cherished by his devoted wife of 33 years, Maria, and his son, Alain.

The family invites loved ones to join in celebrating Alan's life. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on January 4, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Viewings are scheduled at Brian Braker from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on January 2nd and 3rd, 2024. Alan's journey will be honored with a burial at Vaca - Elmira Cemetery, Vacaville, California, at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception at the Clubhouse Rancho Solano from 2:30-6:30 pm.

In gratitude, the family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Couples for Christ members, friends, and family who have supported them during this time.

Alan leaves behind a legacy of love, captured beautifully in the words of 1 Corinthians 13:4-5: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." Alan's memory will continue to inspire us as a loving and caring husband, father, and friend.
