Married Jonathan Mills on May 3, 1749 in Springfield. It will be seen that he was the same as Reverend Jonathan Mills "of Brookfield," who had been married to Jemima Hayward and had at least one child in Brookfield and was minister there. He was also almost certainly the "Mr. Jonathan Mills" who married Anna Porter in Springfield after Abigail had died. Family genealogy books say only that he was married to Jemima Hayward and then secondly, in 1760, to Hepzibah (White) French, but without doubt he was married to these others. Sometime in the late 1750s he did move back east, and was minister again in at least Harwich on the Cape, where he died. Town histories do say he moved and lived in Boston for a while just about this time. There is a marriage intention in February 1758 in Springfield to Patience Brown and this may also be him, but I can't find a marriage record and the notation of the intention does not list the marriage date also as most of them do. It seems Abigail had not been married before.
