LaDonna Johannessohn, age 92, Whitestown, passed away December 13, 2023.

She was born June 11, 1931, in Wendell MN to the late Lewis and Mabel (Jandt) Symonds.

LaDonna graduated from Elbow Lake High School, MN as valedictorian. She continued her studies at Moorhead State University in Business Education and English graduating Magna Cum Laude. After a time at home with children, Ladonna was employed as a Media Professional/Librarian at IPS from 1970-1993 and completed her master's in library science at IU during that time. Ever the student and lifelong learner in retirement LaDonna attended Christian Theological Seminary and earned her master's in theology. She served as a lay minister for St. John's UCC. LaDonna was also an organist for over 40 years at Eastminster Presbyterian Church and then Buck Creek Christian Church.

LaDonna is survived by her loving daughter, Melanie Johannessohn, son-in-law, Scott Moor; granddaughters, Jenna and Kate Moor; and sister, Arlyne Symonds.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norval Johannessohn in 2018; and daughter, Kim Moor in 2016.
