MACK GOLDEN, SR., 88, closed his eyes and departed this life on Sunday, September 25, 2011. He was a retiree of Memphis City Government. Visitation will be on Friday, September 30, 5-8 p.m. at M.J. Edwards on Airways. Services at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 1, at Zion C.M.E. Church, 4183 Hickory Hill. Burial in Brown Cemetery. He leaves one brother, Lucious Golden; four sons, Parnell (Betty), Mack Jr. (Stephanie), Anthony and Barry Golden; six daughters, Susie (Walter) Tucker, Joyce (Larry) Williams, Jerilynn (Robert) Echols-Wilson, Linda (Willie) Johnson, Brenda Young, and Edna Faye Golden. He also leaves 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on September 28, 2011)

Note: Tennessee certificate of death indicates burial in Brown Cemetery, but it is understood "Zion CME Church Cemetery" is also called "Brown Cemetery."
