Aberdeen Weekly Journal - Friday 16 July 1915, p 8:
FORGUE MAN KILLED IN VANCOUVER
Intimation has been received Forgue of the death of Mr Charles Milne, in Vancouver. Deceased was the youngest son of Mr Milne, carpenter, Corse, Forgue. He went to Vancouver over three years ago, and had been member of the City Fire Department for over eighteen months. The sad accident which caused his death was due to a collision between two of the fire automobiles in answering an alarm to a fire shortly before midnight on 1st June. There was a large attendance of the public the funeral of the deceased on June 3. The funeral cortege was one of the largest ever seen the city, and was attended by every available member of the fire department and by members of the city police. Mr Milne was only 24 years of age, a native of Forgue, where served his apprenticeship as a carpenter with his father, Mr G. Milne.
