Graveside services for I. Z. Polk, 63, Battiest, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Hill Cemetery with Sim and Helen Noah officiating. Nation Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Polk died Sunday at his home in Battiest. He was born Nov. 16, 1932 in Dierks, Ark. and lived most of his life in Gillham, Ark. A retired boiler operator for Tyson Feed Mill, he was a member of Kerr Heights Baptist Church, DeQueen, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Georgia Polk; by one brother, Sonny Polk; and by one sister, Willie Polk.
Survivors include two sons, Denny Polk, Gillham, Ark. and Scotty Polk, Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Charlotte Willis, Battiest and Sandra Neal, Sand Springs, Okla.; a brother, Carol Polk, Nevada, Mo.; a sister, Jimmie Polk, Nevada, Mo.; four grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
