Death of Mr. Guest.
Richard Nathan Guest died at Mineral Wells Tuesday night, July 17th at the age of fifty-one years and seven months. Deceased was born in Hunt county, Texas, on December 8th, 1853 and was married in the same county in 1887 to Miss Anna Williams, who survives him. From this union six children were born, viz: Mark, who resides at Purves in this county; Lum, who resides at Memphis, Texas; Dave and Dora. both of this place and unmarried, Mattie and Irene, both of whom are yet at home. Mark is the eldest, being about thirty years of age and Irene is six years of age and the youngest of the family. Besides the wife and children Mr. Guest leaves the following brothers and sisters, J. J. Guest of Lingleville, Mrs. Ada Clemmons of Davis, I. T. and Quinnle Holden of Denison. Mr. Guest has been in poor health with an affliction of the heart for two or three years past and some weeks ago went to Mineral Wells in an effort to regain his health. The body arrived in Dublin on the evening Frisco train Wednesday and was laid to rest in the old Dublin cemetery shortly after three o'clock Thursday afternoon. Deceased was one of the early settlers of Dublin, having removed to this place some eighteen years ago, a consistent member of the Methodist congregation and an exemplary citizen.
