Ella Mae Inman
December 31, 1943 - January 3, 2024

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mae Inman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Greg Willis officiating.

Interment will follow in Willis Flat Cemetery, Plainview Community, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Inman, 80, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on January 3, 2024, at Harbor Hospice, Lake Charles, LA.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, a lifelong resident of Oakdale, and a member of Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing softball, volleyball, and watching NBA and tennis. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ella considered her greatest accomplishment raising her three boys on her own. She taught the boys that if you work hard, good things will happen. She taught them to stand up for themselves, to never quit or give up, to respect their elders, how to play all sports, and to never forget where they came from. The boys are quick to say "everything good about them is a reflection of their mother."

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Milton Inman; her parents, Stafford and Tennie (Ashworth) Willis; four brothers, Crawford Willis, Leamul Willis, Clyde Willis, and Jimmy "Fig" Willis; six sisters, Dorothy Willis, Margie Vincent, Laverne Hargrove, Shirley Mae Pickering, Glenell Durant, and Melvie Buxton; and one daughter-in-law, Kelli Townley.

A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers honored to serve are: Gary Duplechain, Robert Townley, Thomas Sykes, Coby Hargrove, Tommy Lee Sykes, and Gerald Johnson.
